What is the
JELLYFISH YOUTH Academy?
Water Cities Jellyfish Academy is for children who want to advance from recreational soccer programs like OYSC and the YMCA.
What is our MISSION?
- Provide soccer players an avenue to test and enhance their skills.
- Provide soccer players an opportunity to train regularly and play in competitive games.
- Provide soccer players an outlet to increase their level of play against challenging competition.
FALL 2025
Academy soccer is for the following age groups:
- 8U Kids (Boys and Girls) born in 2018 and 2019
- 10U Kids (Boys and Girls) born in 2016 and 2017
PRACTICES: We hold two practices per week. They will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 to 6:30 at Winnebago County Park.
TENTATIVE START DATE: August 12.
GAMES: Games will be scheduled each Saturday between August 23 and October 18 (except Labor Day weekend). All teams in our academy will play at the same location. We will not receive an official schedule until just before the season begins, but you can expect most games to start between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
- U8 plays 4 vs 4 games with no Goal Keeper (size 3 ball)
- U10 plays 6 vs 6 games with an added Goal Keeper (7 vs 7) (size 4 ball)
Games will follow the US Soccer Small-Sided Game Guidelines. You can read more about those guidelines HERE.
COSTS: Our Academy Fee for the fall session is a very reasonable.
8U is $75
10U is $90
Early registration discount: receive a $10 discount if registered by 6/30!
The cost for families to participate in our Youth Academy is the best around.
Our small fee is for the entire fall season and includes a jersey for all players.
The fee covers WYSA Insurance, referee and game fees, field painting and mowing, jersey costs, etc.
There is a late fee of $10 after 7/28 if roster space is still available.
ADDITIONAL COSTS: Players must purchase gameday socks (we sell them for $7), They will also need black shorts (no pockets), soccer cleats, shin guards, and an age-appropriate ball.
